Please check for service disruption, especially if you have a flight to catch. Take particular note of 'This weekend' and 'Future date' status updates for the District line (and Piccadilly line, if travelling via Heathrow).

Cross over to Platform 1 (stairs or lift) and follow instructions for Central London.

From Central London (typically also from Gatwick and Stanstead airports):
Take westbound District train (green line) to Richmond (not Ealing Broadway).
Exit at Kew Gardens station and turn right on to North Road, then walk ≈500 m (5 min).

From Richmond:
Take any train one stop to Kew Gardens station (District or Overground lines).
At Kew Gardens, take underpass to opposite side of station and turn right on to North Road.

• First trains from about 6 am (7:30 am on Sunday & holidays).
• Last trains from about midnight (11 pm on Sunday & holidays).
• Peak travel is between 6:30 to 9:30 am and 4 to 7 pm Monday to Friday.

Getting to central London

• Use Kew Gardens station underpass to cross to opposite side of North Road.
Take any eastbound District line train from platform 2 (not Overground train).
• Alternatively, take any train to Richmond from platform 1 (same side as North Rd).
Change at Richmond and take train to Waterloo (5 min walk from London Eye).

Fares are cheaper for travel after 9:30 am and typically cost under £6 (return), or are capped at under £8 for multiple journeys (per adult per day).

Oyster Card
An alternative smartcard for use on London public transport (tube & bus).
Can also be used for train travel to/from Gatwick airport (and Heathrow via underground).
Cards cost £3 and must be charged with credit (available online and at most stations or newsagents).
